We used bitbucket.org repository hosting for many years.
But unfortunately Bitbucket decided to close all the Mercurial type repositories and services

Sunsetting Mercurial support in Bitbucket

It is not surprising that a lot of former Bitbucket supporters are outraged by the actions of the service, and in protest they decided to migrate to other repository hosting services:

What to do with your Mercurial repos when Bitbucket sunsets support

CodersClub team supports the fair indignation of users of this service and we say:
Bye-bye, Bitbucket!

For now we are looking for other repository service.
We will inform you about the new address of our repositories additionally!

Of course Git is quite good and very popular.
But in short:
1) Mercurial is simpler in learning than Git
2) Mercurial is better in branching than Git
3) Mercurial is more scallable than Git
4) Mercurial have the best GUI among all others

And yet another argument in favor of Mercurial:
FaceBook development team totally migrated from Git to Mercurial.
Some time ago, Git was recognized by FB engineers as unsuitable for scaling their projects.
FB guys share their experiences with using and scaling Mercurial.
They say that now their HG is sometimes 5, or even 50 times faster than Git.

Scaling Mercurial at Facebook

By the way, Python language development was migrated to Mercurial too yet in 2009.

Unfortunately Sourceforge.net is not a really free resource
It is locked an access to their service from some countries and territories

So I am still looking for an alternative to hosting my repositories...

Why do you need Mercurial? I would rather use git and stick to bitbucket.

@vot Any specific reasons you need Mercurial?
