Email notification

When thread is replied,user will get a notification email.
Many open source forum has such function. It is very useful.
When will discuz develop such function?

This is a two-step process.
1. Admin allows users to receive notifications.
2. Users choose which exactly notifications they receive.

Admin:
Admin panel - General tab (second in the top menu) - My Site in the left menu (8th line):
here you should find a line dedicated to sending e-mail notifications. It's parameter number 9, and it's 0 by default, which means no notifications.
You should set notifications period in days, put 1 there and click Save at the bottom of the page.

After above is done, users will be able to choose e-mail notifications they like in their Settings menu on the site.

P.S. In addition, you may wish to setup e-mail properly via Admin or U-Center admin. Try different options (phpmail or smtp) to see which one works for you.

This id done already.
1) Go to Settings
2) Click the Mail Notifier
3) Check events you want to be notified about
4) Save

It does not work. Should be enabled it in the admin section?

i am Chinese and use multilingual version x2.5.I can't see 'mail notifier' between 'privacy' and 'security' Don't know why.It is better to  enable such function in the admin section intead of being enabled by user.And of course,user have right to ban it.
