general browser questions - local version v chinese out of the box

i am a member of a board http://forum.maxthon.com/forum.php - its missing many features that seem to be here - local time is one of the most anoying - is it a version thing - is it an add on or is it that someone has no idea

it works perfectly here as you obviously know

It is because of we are using not official version but our own modification.

thanks - what does that mean - is it an inhouse mod - its obviously possible but is the modification available to all or code you have made that is yours alone
