Yes you can but 2nd installation must have different prefix.

Put all informations the same without prefix.

Example:

No , i think kaaleth understood wrong ,

i think you want from same admin and same password to login 2 forums
you can but by other way , because this way is wrong


You can connect 2 forums by Ucenter !  just in Ucenter config use one databese ( 1st Ucenter database  or the 2nd )

   


Note: Each forum have two databases :-

1- forum database eg " pre_test"  and config file founded in ./config/config_global.php  file

  2- Ucenter database eg "uc_pre_test" or "ucenter_pre_test" ./config/config_ucenter.php file   and /uc_server/data/config_inc.php  file  >>>>> WANTED TO EDIT

for example :-

the 1st forum Ucenter  database name is " ucenter_pre_test "
the 2nd forum Ucenter  database name is " ucenter_pre_test2 "

use use one value for two Ucenter config  files   "" ucenter_pre_test "" or "" ucenter_pre_test 2"" in tow config file for Ucneter i mean in " ./config/config_ucenter.php file   and " /uc_server/data/config_inc.php  " file


after it each user can login in two forums by one password
