How to Clone Default Template

What is the Official way of cloning the default template ?

I have cloned "Default" template folder to a "<New>" template folder and what I'm supposed to do in Admin cp ?

1) AdminCP -> Styles -> Templates
Add a record for your new temolate

2) AdminCP -> Styles -> Default Skin
Install your template, Set it as default

I have done step 01,
in Step 02 when i click install Template... I'm getting "Template Install Sucessfull" message, but it has't installed !!!! Again i can see Install Option
