Plugin language problem

I tried to install plugin from discuz addon and it succeded.
But after the installation of plugin it shows weird symbols, i believe it is because of language problem.
How to translate plugins to english after installation or before.?

When u install new plugin from discuz addon.Most addon do not support eng lang.But u can translate addon

How?

Just open your ftp client and coonect website ftp

Go to

/source/plugin

Now u can see all addons.Just find your freshly installed plugin and open folder


You can see XML files

discuz_plugin_countryflag_EN_UTF8.xml
discuz_plugin_countryflag_TR_UTF8.xml

Just copy one .xml file and rename  country code

And translate it

after translate  backup all plugin files  to computer and remove plugin from admin CP and send again files via ftp to sme directory and goto plugin menu from admin cp and click instal and select your translate

I have to translate it to English after changing the file name right.?
but there is a problem my system not displaying language. Its showing weird characters only..

Find this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
Replace with:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
