The forum thread counter is read from the cache.
Try to decrease the cache leave time or disable the cache at all.

A'm agree with "No posts".
But "Add!" is not suitable here, imho...
There is no such functionality in original dzx.
May be, write down this as a "wish" to a "ToDo list"...
