Next question. What is searchindex.php and how do I use it?


I will skip the files which are similar to the official Chinese version. I am sure there will be instructions regading it on your site for sure.

searchindex.php is the oldest utility of the original Discuz! X.
It is designed to automatically generate the language file admincp_searchindex.php.
The admincp_searchindex.php file is used to search for the desired operation in the admin panel.

How does it work:
The searchindex.php utility scans all PHP files related to the admin panel and looks for code blocks marked with special tags /*search*/ and remember all the language variables used in the block.
The scan result is recorded in the admincp_searchindex.php file.
Each block in the admincp_searchindex.php file contains the action URL in the admin panel and the contents of all language variables used in this admin action.

Interestingly, the Discuz development team seems to have forgotten about the search engine in the admin panel, and it has not updated the admincp_searchindex.php file for many years.
