Login problem

Hi,
I have just installed Discuz! X3 on my hosting for testing purposes before I finally decide whether to use it for my community. Installation was succesful without error(s) but it seems that logging in from the upper right form is not working. The site does display a mini red notification bar said "working" but I never actually logged in.


Is this expected? or perhaps something I must set that I missed?
I will however try to reproduce this issue on local installation

yeah....you missed something.....
this site is also on x3 and works fine right???
so here is what you do ...
1. dont panic and move away from discuz,somethings go bad for first time...
2.check ucenter there is a communication key copy it....then look for the same key in admin center:i dont know where exactly....but if you dont see it tell me ill be happy to help girls....[h he]..
then see if the key matches or not...if not overwrite the key.
the problem comes when the ucenter cant contact the site due to wrong key...
just fix it.and done......

Hi,

I manage to locate the key you mentioned on admin CP, but it seems I can not open the settings page of UCenter.
I came to a theory that UCenter require access to external resource outside my country, while my hosting is located locally inside my country. The speed between them is not good, so UCenter settings failed to load.

So based on that theory,
- my installation can not access UCenter, therefore, the login form ( upper right corner ) won't work. Perhaps that login form is connected with UCenter
- The only login form working is by trying to post while not logged in, this will force me to a login page which seems not connected with UCenter
*fingers crossed

Looks like I need to test this further

here is what you do.

nope, not separated ucenter

got it! just filed a ticket to my hosting provider
they said the login form method was blocked by the server security and now the block is lifted
