Me too, I'm looking for a way to convert a phpbb forum to discuz x2. I did found here ( http://discuz-fr.fr/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=192 ) a solution written in a bad french (maybe translated using google translator) that I can't understand; the idea is converting from...to...: phpbb3 -> VBB -> Discuz 7,0 -> 7,2 Discuz -> Discuz X1.5 -> Discuz X2

What the problem with Arabic usernames?
MySQL not asked what the language you are using - Chinese or Arabic or what else.
MySql deals only with the characters encoding and collation!
Just discover what the encoding is used in phpBB and convert it to UTF-8 for X2.

i tried to convert fom vb 4.0 to dx 1
all databases are utf-8
ok?

all things are converd succesfully (arabic threads,english usernames ...etc)

but when convert arabic username show the problem e.g
convert "خالد" after it's show "خ&...." !!
i think the probem in one line in convert script
